How To Get Your Website Promoted For Free

Businesses can take advantage of the internet to get more sales and provide services. Never before has a tool like the internet been available to businesses. You can get more sales, get more customers and ultimately make more money. The following are just a few of the things you can do to get traffic to your website.

Articles like this one are great means of getting traffic to a website and also an easy means of getting your business contact information out to the masses. Assuming you produce good content, there is no shortage of opportunities to get your articles published and read. Be sure to have a strong call to action.

Google has a service where it will list the local businesses in a specific geographic area based on searches as well. For instance, if you searched for “Salt Lake City plumber”, you’ll get a list of plumbers including a map listing of where those plumbers are located in SLC. Inclusion in this directory is free if you meet the criteria. This is a great way to get a number 1 listing in Google for a regionally specific keywords.

Google base is another method of generating leads and traffic to either your website or your retail store. Google base is basically like a big database of all kinds of things including products, events, and any number of other “listings”.

Online classified ad websites such as Craigslist are great ways to get the word out about new products, new events, products for sale and can be a great way to list regionally specific sales as well. One strategy that works great for online classifieds is a coupon code that can be used on a website or printed out and brought into a store. People tend to respond to offers where there is a “special” deal or even a perceived deal.

Social networking is best described as communicating and “networking” with other like-minded people on the internet. There’s a lot more than I can even pretend to get into with only a few sentences. Spending time on sites like youtube.com, digg.com, facebook.com and several sites like this represent probably the most frequently visited social networking sites on the internet. Sites that facilitate the interaction between individuals through commenting, blogging, posting, instant messaging, etc. would be considered “Web 2.0″ sites.

Blog commenting is another way to get some traffic to your site. I personally will read several blogs per week or month and depending on the conversation, I’ll contribute or also if the comment provides especially good value or insight, I’ll usually click through and find new websites this way. People are doing this all the time and your comments will also generate traffic to your sites. Find blogs that typically get multiple comments on any given post and use those for traffic by leaving good comments and adding value to the conversation.

There are several things you can do to get traffic to your website and if you’re wiling to spend the time, you can get a lot of traffic for free. These are only a few of the methods that I use.

The Key to using MySpace Real Estate Marketing Virally

I know it sounds terrible, but “viral marketing” has nothing to do with a “computer virus”. So what is viral marketing? Just what it sounds like; marketing so powerful that it spreads like a virus, getting one person after the other in a rapid fashion.

Some people call it “buzz marketing”, meaning marketing that utilizes some smart trick or tactic to create a great buzz, almost automatically like wildfire. This method is very popular and effective among real estate professionals like investors, realtors, agents, brokers, and the like. Obviously, it is a tremendous trick to reach success.

Take a look at this example: Imagine that you send an informational email to 100 people, and 15 people pass it on to another 100 and 15 of those do the same. What do you have pretty quickly? You’ve got hundreds of thousands of people who have received your precious information.

This is the magic of viral marketing, spreading your word to more consumers than you ever thought possible. You aren’t going to believe the power that you have when you market your business this way. Like a religion, you’ll be converting people to your message, and they will then spread that message to others.

When you tap into the secret power of the popularity of online games, videos, graphics, and other programs on sites like YouTube, you’ll create a great network of friends and proponents of your business.

Take advantage of this viral approach when you send out any messages, bulletins, comments and blogs into the market. My training series is comprised of 30 easy-to-follow videos that will take you step by step to your own success in real estate, chiropractic practice, network marketers and so many more. It’s time to transform your life and your business forever.

I can’t stand to see another real estate marketer make another whopping mistake on MySpace, but it happens more than you can imagine. This can greatly hinder your future growth. Don’t make your profile look like a big promo ad, glaring in everyone’s face. Not only will it look like Spam and people will be turned off by it, but MySpace might just pull your profile for unregulated solicitation.

And not only that, but MySpace will erase your account so that you can’t participate in the network at all if you just look like a cheap solicitor. You simply want your profile to draw a huge friend list, in the easiest, timeliest way possible. Then you can market to your friends softly.

How to get more buyers?

This is a good piece of news for those who are interested in the field of internet marketing, and want to know more about conducting successful sales. The product I am talking about is Get More Buyers, which provides unique solutions to all your problems and queries.

Michael Rasmussen, the 31 year old who wrote the program is a part of the field and has shared the substantial information he has gathered over the years.

Firstly, the programs tells you that the key to successful sales lies in building and maintaining various lists of buyers, and not just subscribers. If you have been involved in internet marketing for sometime you’d know that many of the subscribers in your email list are not necessarily buyers- and hence the need for a separate list of buyers!

Get More Buyers is a program, not a piece of literature so as you delve deeper it gets technical. For instance, it introduces marketers to the concept of a marketing funnel and teaches you how to use it. It teaches you the concept of entry level selling, helping customers migrate to higher levels involving more and more expensive products and so on. As different customer sets emerge so do different lists of buyers.

Next it teaches you about maintaining the cumbersome lists that you have made! The creator of the program recommends the marketer to set up an auto-responder for this purpose. There must be several options that would help you in maintaining several lists at the same time without much effort- thus helping you to keep them apart, yet integrate all the lists if there is a need to do so!

There are 10 strategies you must know to build a large network of buyers, not merely subscribers.

Start out with entry level products instead of aiming big initially.

Secondly, you should tactfully part with insider information, telling your customers where to go, what to do. This is called a Warrior Special Offer.

Four: get to know all about upsells and one-time offers. These bring more customers, increase sales, fetch you extra revenue.

Rasmussen brings in subtle strategies at this point. Five: use affiliate promo bonuses.

Six: use thank you page promos by promoting products riding piggyback on another person’s thank you page.

Strategy seven teaches you how you can contribute to a one time offer and strategy eight teaches important information on contributing to someone else’s product.

The niche area of holiday promos features as strategy nine. Use major holidays and event giveaway promotions at this level.

The last tip is regarding what is called ‘cross promotion’ in which you aid a seller in marketing his product and vice-versa. This helps you both to market your product successfully!

Got the Get More Buyers idea in your grasp by now? We strongly recommend it for your Internet marketing. It won’t let you down!

Rank Well in Search Engines and Improve Lead Generation

When you do search engine optimisation, you are increasing your website’s rank among search engines such as Yahoo, Google and MSN. In Australia, Google is the main search engine with over 80% of the search engine market share. Tests have also revealed that Google searches almost always become either sales or inquiries much more often than searches by other major search engines do. In other words, this means that Google gives you the most high-quality search traffic. This is why you should focus your efforts to optimise on Google.

With a high rank on Google, you’ll normally find that you rank pretty well on the other search engines, too. So, let’s go through a three step process to do search engine optimisation. It’s fairly complex, and many companies spend literally thousands of dollars to get this done for them. However, it’s pretty simple to explain it in this three-step strategy.

Step 1: Keyword Research You need to establish which keywords and phrases are relevant to your product or services so you can focus your SEO efforts accordingly. For many businesses that serve a local area, keyword research is normally straight forward. The most profitable keywords or phrases are likely to be in the form Your Industry Your Location. For example: “Plumbers Melbourne”, “IT Support Sydney”, “Accountants Perth”. There are also a range of keywords and search tools, including a free tool; inventory.overture.com and also more sophisticated pay tools such as wordtracker.com and keyworddiscovery.com.

Step 2: On page Optimisation Optimise your website content. You’ve probably heard that achieving high search engine rankings is all about making sure the right keywords appear on your web pages. Although this is part of the story, it’s certainly an important part of the puzzle and we call this on page optimisation. Here are some of the most important on page optimisation tips.

1. Make Sure Your Title Includes Your Keyword(s). At the blue bar on the top of your web browser, your title label appears. It’s also the title of your webpage in the organic search results for Google. This title should be concise and short, and have keywords or keyword phrases in it. Put the most important keywords first, and any secondary keywords afterward. For example, if you have your carpet cleaning shop in Surry Hills in Sydney, you can say as your title: Carpet Cleaning Sydney - Carpet Cleaning Surry Hills Sydney.” There’s some repetition there, true, but it’s got a lot of keywords in it and it doesn’t sound strange.

2. Make Your Description Keyword Rich, Too. This is your “meta description tag.” It appears in your website code and describes your page’s content. This description should be rich in keywords and should include complete sentences. For example, with our carpet cleaner, your description could say: “Proper Cleaner in Surry Hills, Sydney. Best Carpet Cleaning Service at a Competitive Price.”

3. Look at Your Headings. Search engines place great importance on headings because they seem to find important page content. Ensuring that your headings and subheadings are keyword rich is a good start. For example, Full Colour Digital Printing Services in Sydney

4. Page Content Matters, Too. Your page content needs at least one keyword rich textual paragraph per page. You can repeat keywords used in your headings in the content. Use a mix of related keyword phrases, such as, “Carpet Installation Sydney, One-Day Carpet Installation, Fast Carpet Installation,” and so on instead of repeating the same phrases over again.

5. Look At Links. Links are another important indicator of page content. You should avoid generic words and links such as, “Find out more” or “Click here”. Instead, use keyword rich link test such as, “View our complete range of digital printing services”, with “digital printing services” as a link.

Step-3: Off Page Optimisation Off-page optimisation, or linking strategies, is the third and final stage. Every incoming link to your website is considered by Google as a vote for your website content by other websites. The reason why many businesses SEO efforts fail is that they focus exclusively on using keywords on web pages but they lack a linking strategy. Here are a few tips to start pushing your site up the ranks through linking strategies:

2. Put Your Site on So-Called “Authority Directories.” These website directories, called “authority directories,” are highly respected by search engines and can help improve rankings. This can help you improve your own rankings, too. Many of these sites charge a few to list there, but this helps keep out lower quality websites. Three of the most important ones are: botw.org, Yahoo.com.au, and business.com. Be advised that this isn’t about those scams that say they’ll submit your site to countless directories for $49 or so. Only submit your website to these well regarded directories.

2. List Your Sites on Authority Directories. Listing your website on website directories which are well regarded by search engines can help to improve your rankings. Most of these so-called authority directories charge a fee for listing. A fact that serves to keep out lower quality websites. Three of the most important authority directories are: Yahoo.com.au, botw.org and business.com. Please note that I’m not talking about email scams that offer to submit your site to 34 million directories for $49. You should only bother submitting your website to directories that are well regarded by search engines.

Internet Marketing Essentials

Internet marketing is the act of taking a product and advertising using the internet. There are many different tactics used to market products on the internet. They range from pay per click campaigns to search engine optimization.

PPC quickly gets you noticed and can quicly cost you your whole advertising budget. The most popular place for PPC is Google AdWords, those little ads you see all down the right side of the screen when you do a search on Google.

The ads that show up next to the search results are a paid advertisement by someone who paid for that keyword phrase you searched for. Internet marketers do lots of research to find out which keywords will give them the best results in selling their products and services.

The other type of internet marketing is the art of creating a site that gets noticed by the search engines and shows up for free when someone searches for a relevant keyword phrase. In Google those are the results that come up on the left side of the screen. It takes more time to get a site to show up here.

There are certain things that must be done properly to be effective at this type of internet marketing. It is quite a bit more time consuming than PPC but once it is done effectively you get traffic for free! Of course you must mantain your site to keep the high rankings for certain keywords but it is well worth the price!

SEO experts are constantly tweaking their sites and web presence so they can keep their high rankings. They have what they call “on page optimization” and “off page optimization”. Both are very important.

On site optimization involves setting up your site with the keyword phrase spread throughout it in such a way that it seems natural but often enough to let the search engines know what your page is about. Off page optimization is the act of getting other websites to link back to your site. The object here is to have as many relevant sites as possible link to your page.

Off site optimization involves you using anchor text, your link embedded in the keyword phrase you are trying to rank for, and direct links on other sites in the same niche you are in. The more sites that link back to you the better your chances of ranking highly in the search engine results.

Those are the two major methods for Internet marketing. There are more detailed reports on mastering both types of marketing all over the internet. If you are interested in using the internet to market your product or service it is wise to learn how to do both or hire a proffessional who knows how to do both.

To Video Blog or NOT to Video Blog

Having a Video blog or Vlog have a lot of advantages over text-based blogs, and there really is no wonder that more and more individuals are moving to this technology. Video blogs are very effective in grabbing and holding the attention of web surfers. People are much more likely to become attracted to the dynamic content of a video blog over that of an ordinary written posting on a the typical blog.

It only makes sense that the more viewers you can get excited about your site, the greater the likelihood you’ll have word of mouth spread, which will ultimately lead to more visitors and then more money in your pocket if you’re monetizing your site.

There can be some disadvantages to video blogging as well however, and these are easily overcome. Hosting a vlog can require quite a bit of server space, which can make it difficult to get started. That’s if you choose to host it yourself. The best way is to use a service like YouTube, Google Video or Viddler for free. Then take the embed code and put it up on your site. Let them handle the bandwidth issues and costs.

If you don’t want to use those services and want more control, use a service like Amazon’s storage service called S3. They charge per GB used when you upload and then for bandwidth. The cost is about .10/GB to upload and then .17/GB for bandwidth usage. This is such a small cost for complete control.

The time it takes to process and upload a video file is another difference to just writing a text article on a traditional blog. Operating a video blog also will mean a little more effort, especially if you’re not used to working with the shooting and editing process of videos.

Although, it’s a fact that when you get used to to using video, it really is pretty easy. Creating the videos tends to be the most difficult part for most people.

Also, due to some computers and connections, some individuals may get fed up with uploading or playback issues now and then.

Even though most have good internet connections and the equipment in order to watch videos on their computers, you still need to think about who will be coming to your blog. For example, many baby boomers who may not be that familiar about the online world yet, a video blog may not be the best choice for your blog. You need to always take your market into consideration before deciding what to do.

Whether you choose a video blog or traditional or a combination of both, like myself, just continue to offer your people quality content that will be helpful to them. Be yourself and have fun!

Advertising should be judged only by the goods it sells.

Religion is opinion Advertising should be based on facts. Religion must continue in the realm of Opinion, because no one can decide which Creed is right;, and which wrong, till he dies and finds out the facts for himself. And no mere man who died has ever come back to Earth to settle the dispute. But, it is different with Advertising, as it is with Mechanics or with Medicine, all three of which can be conclusively tested.

Too many business owners seem content to spend their money on mere opinions about advertising when they might have invested it on facts about advertising. These are the Advertisers whose business must die before they can be convinced that Branding is wrong and reason why advertising is correct.

No company would give a salesperson a commission over a report from him that he was “Influencing Sales” for their other salesmen. What the advertising mployer would demand from his Salesman would be profitable Orders. He would demand Sales, clearly made by the Salesman himself, each sale carrying a given profit over cost for the employer. That is just what the advertising employer should demand from his advertising expenditure, too-Sales-proven Sales, carrying a satisfactory profit. And, if he insists upon it he can get the kind of advertising which will actually produce sales instead of a vague “General Influence on Sales.”

Advertising is and should be “Salesmanship-on-paper.” If it is anything less than Salesmanship it is not real Advertising, but only “name recognition.” And, “General Publicity” admittedly claims only to “Brand,” to make sales easier for the salespeople.

Bad Advertising makes the same lame excuses as a Salesman who failed to earn his salary in actually selling goods. But General Publicity, or any other Advertising, should be judged by the same standards as the Salesman is judged, viz., by the goods it is clearly proven to sell at a given cost per dollar invested in it.
